Theme: Letter "F"

Choosing Time: Farm & Animals, Foam Blocks, Fall Sorting, Footprints

Lesson: We each took a turn to fish out of our big blue pond. There were many things to catch such as food, feet, fingers, etc. There were also fish & one starfish to catch. Each fish had a corresponding song to sing. We counted how many points the starfish has: 5. We had Fun marching around on our feet singing, "Most of us are 4 & 5!"
Music & Movement: Some of the songs we sang & danced to are: "Five Little Speckled Frogs, Fire Engine, Five Little Monkeys, My Feet Can..., & Pumpkin, Pumpkin." I think Fire Engine was today's favorite song because any time we fished a free choice we sang it!

Snack: Thank you Mitch for a yummy snack of apples, cheese, & Cheez-its!

Book: Frank was a Monster who wanted to Dance by Keith Graves

• To have some fun with "F" & Halloween we read this entertaining book. I believe I had to read it 3 times because it was so loved!

Art: We made "Frank" Puppets. Then we had them Dance! All the children added some dialogue to the dancing as well! It was a lot of fun!
